Welcome to Daccapo Pizzeria. We specialize in authentic Neapolitan pizza, crafted with sustainable ingredients and traditional techniques. Creativity, research and passion are at our core. Explore our story, values, and what makes us unique—one slice at a time.

Daccapo – meaning "restart" and "reinvention" – symbolizes the essence of our journey: a tale of reconnection, revival, and a return to our roots.

 

We are proud to introduce our brand and vision—a blend of authentic Neapolitan pizza with a Roman twist. Daccapo is not just about pizza; it's about recreating memories. We draw inspiration from tradition, while embracing innovation. At our core, we prioritize quality, fresh, and mostly organic ingredients, paired with creativity, relentless research, and a genuine curiosity.

 

To further strengthen our connection to our roots, we are experimenting with growing our own vegetables and herbs. One day, we hope to craft pizzas using ingredients sourced entirely from our own kitchen garden.

 

Chef Stefano's journey began at a young age, watching his grandmother, whose sparked his passion for cooking. Although his teenage years led him down a different path, his love for food never wavered. He eventually returned to his roots, working as a pizza chef in Rome, where he immersed himself in the art of pizza al taglio—the iconic Roman-style pizza served by the slice. (Pizza al taglio is a rectangular, thick-crust pizza known for its crispy edges and endless topping combinations, typically sold by weight.)

 

Years later, Stefano and his wife, Aurora, moved to London to further their careers—Aurora as a designer, and Stefano as a pizzaiolo. There, Stefano worked alongside some of the best Neapolitan pizzaiolos in the city, falling in love with the craftsmanship of authentic Neapolitan pizza.

 

Meanwhile, Aurora, driven by necessity discovered her own love for cooking, focusing on traditional techniques like hand-made pasta and tarts. It was a turning point for both of them—pizza and food, in general, became not just a craft but a lifelong passion.

After years of dedication, Stefano became head chef, and together, they began dreaming of owning their own place. Their journey started humbly, with a dark kitchen inside The Smuggler’s Tavern, a local pub. Here, they merged their talents: Aurora's art direction for branding, communication, and pizza styling, alongside Stefano’s technical expertise in the kitchen. Together, they created a space where their shared love for traditional techniques, quality ingredients, and a deep respect for the environment was is into every dish.

 

A year later, they took a bold step and invested in a vintage pizza truck, "Blu", allowing them to bring their pizzas and values to a wider community. With this mobile kitchen, Stefano and Aurora are able to share their passion directly with the public—meeting like-minded people, building connections, and spreading the joy of authentic flavours wherever they go.
